China Ensures 2008 Beijing Olympic Safety

In an effort to kick up the ensured safety of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, China's security forces have been training around the clock to prevent such embarrasing episodes which have broke though past Olympics security measures in Atlanta and Athens, Greece.

Xue Xiaoming, deputy director of the patrol brigade, says that China is considering enlarging the number of special police in the capital capital of Beijing during the 2008 Olympic Games.


"Beijing is an international metropolis with a low crime rate," Xue said. "But to prevent and handle unexpected incidents that may happen during the Games, we need a strong force."

40,000 policemen are currently on duty in the city and have reportedly asked that residents "have trust in us that we will bring the world a safe Games."
